A genuine passion for great food and drink and an ability to provide exceptional service and a warm welcome to our guests is a must for this busy role.

With the ability to multi-task, you will be organised and efficient with a keen eye for detail and a desire to give above and beyond expectation. This supervisory role requires energy, passion and enthusiasm and the ability to motivate and manage a staff team. You will thrive in a busy and dynamic environment, retaining a sense of fun, calm and professionalism in equal measure.

Experience of busy and energetic restaurants would be a massive plus, as would a desire to progress your career in the industry.

Bar Manager

The Wheatsheaf Inn is on the hunt for a talented Bar Manager with an enthusiastic and professional attitude to inspire and coach our friendly team at our locally cherished boutique hotel and restaurant based in Northleach near Cheltenham.

This managerial role requires a thorough understanding of bar and cellar management and the ability to motivate and manage a staff team. You will thrive in a busy and dynamic environment, retaining a sense of fun, calm and professionalism in equal measure. This is an operational, hands on role so strong knowledge of wines and spirits is important, ideally having a WSET qualification or working towards one.

The Lucky Onion are searching for a talented and dynamic Junior Sous Chef to join our highly regarded kitchen team at our well known and award-winning establishment; The Wheatsheaf Inn, Northleach.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, seasonal foods and provenance, delivering exceptional, inspired dishes and menu selections. With experience working as a Junior Sous Chef or in an equivalent role, you will have outstanding culinary skills, creative flair as well as exemplary attention to detail.

The chosen applicant will have strong commercial awareness, a thorough understanding of kitchen management and a desire to progress their career within the industry. You will thrive under pressure; retaining a sense of calm, fun and professionalism in equal measure.

Breakfast Chef

Are you a talented chef looking for sociable hours working with a highly regarded kitchen team? The Lucky Onion is looking for a great breakfast chef to join the team at The Wheatsheaf Inn, Northleach; our fine boutique hotel in the heart of The Cotswolds.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience working as a Breakfast Chef and have a passion for high quality, seasonal foods and provenance; with a keen eye for detail and the confidence to work individually. Experience working in a busy, creative and dynamic kitchen will be a massive plus as would a desire to grow, learn and progress your career within the industry.

This role has the advantage of being 7am to 3.30pm, 5 days a week and would be a great opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to develop their skills. Ideally you should have experience in 1 or 2 rosette establishments or in similar breakfast chef roles.

This role is mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover needed.

The Lucky Onion are now searching for a talented Chef De Partie to join our great kitchen team at The Wheatsheaf, our country pub with 14 bedrooms in the market town of Northleach.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience working as a Chef De Partie and a passion for high quality, seasonal foods and provenance; cooking with inspiration and skill. Experience working across all sections in a busy and creative kitchen is essential as is the interest in developing supervisory skills.
