Ideal candidates will have previous experience working as a Chef De Partie and a passion for high quality, seasonal foods and provenance; delivering exceptional, inspired dishes and menu selections. Experience working across all sections in a busy, creative and dynamic kitchen will be a massive plus as would a desire to grow, learn and progress your career within the industry.

The Lucky Onion is looking for a dynamic and creative Head Chef to lead our renowned team at our flagship site, The Chequers, Churchill. We are looking for a Head Chef who is prepared to embark on something unique and to set and maintain the high standards and excellent reputation the Lucky Onion is known for.
The Lucky Onion own and operate hotels and restaurants and are a group of chefs, restauranteurs, sommeliers, hoteliers, graphic designers, artists and interior designers, who are all inspired by design, travel, food and drink. We believe in exceptional service and hospitality, sourcing our food locally and wherever possible from farmers and producers we know and trust.
Our ideal candidate will have a great love for high quality, seasonal foods and provenance creating exceptional, sincere dishes and menu selection. With at least 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef, you will have outstanding culinary skills (minimum 3 Rosette level), creative flair as well as an exemplary attention to detail.
This is a high level leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of effective kitchen management (including all aspects of legal compliance and Health and Safety). You will thrive in a busy and dynamic kitchen, retaining a sense of fun, calm and professionalism in equal measure. With a welcoming and energetic attitude you will lead the kitchen team and identify training opportunities to follow through, nurturing and retaining your brigade.
